One day at a time

30 April 2013

As the title suggests this week is just one day at a time with training.  Work is busy, if I am not teaching then I am writing class reports or planning lessons and programmes.  I haven’t sat at my desk for the past few days and caught up on other admin plus I have been trying to get some decent training in.  I’m pretty knackered – the hours drive home today was hard work.

Yesterday I pulled up in the final 3rd of the session with a few suspect twinges in my lower back (usual problem area).  Limited time to get the foam roller out and try and loosen up and manipulate due to teaching so just stretched as best I could. 16km complete.

The afternoon was a weights session but pulled the pin in the warm up due to some serious tightness and warning signs.  I downgraded to some machine work and played with some pushing but pretty crap to be honest, should have cut my losses and rolled instead.

I worked late and was on the go this morning before getting in another 16km but with breaks to protect and assess the back.  Very tight but seemed strong – roll tonight.

3 days to push this week and it will remain busy – one day at a time.

On a positive, the weather was awesome today and went for tops off tats out erging.
