A faster 2km? – Still building with 4×750’s PB

23 October 2013

Some recovery work on Monday and then a visit back into the weights room to start building again after 10 weeks without lifting because of the injury. Back to some distance yesterday with a 60 min 70% r18 piece.

Today it was time to keep building on the speed as we look for the Navy Championships and British Championships in December. With my quads suffering through local muscle fatigue and DOMS from Monday night squatting I entered the unforgiving 4×750’s. I PB’d the piece.

Also some raw data from Bristol shows I was 1.1 seconds slow of the start (i.e I didn’t move a single metre for 1.1 seconds) – had it been a home TT (and with todays speed), you do the math ….
