I’m Not Selling Wellbeing. I’m Talking About Risk.

3 February 2026

I posted something recently that seemed to stop a few people mid-scroll.

It now sits on my LinkedIn bio.

“I’m not selling wellbeing. I’m helping organisations and senior leaders avoid performance loss and financial risk caused by unmanaged health.”

That line matters, because it reframes the entire conversation.

If this were only about your personal health, most people reading this would have acted already.

They wouldn’t still be:

  • Working excessive hours
  • Running on fatigue
  • Relying on short-term fixes
  • Normalising cognitive strain
  • Ignoring early warning signs

But they are.

Which tells me something important.

Health framed as a personal issue rarely changes behaviour at this level.

So let’s look at it differently.

What if the real risk isn’t your health?

What if the risk is:

  • Your role
  • Your credibility
  • Your judgement under pressure
  • Your reliability when it matters most

Or, if you don’t own the business, what about the people around you?

The senior leader who burns out. The key operator who goes off sick. The team member whose performance drops under pressure.

That load doesn’t vanish.

It transfers.

Often to you.

This is where organisations get caught out.

Unmanaged health doesn’t just affect individuals. It creates systemic risk.

Performance volatility. Decision fatigue. Increased workload on already stretched leaders. Hidden financial exposure.

And it’s usually addressed far too late.

“You wouldn’t insure a building during a fire. Yet organisations routinely wait until performance is already compromised before acting.”

This is why I don’t sell wellbeing.

And I don’t chase people.

Because the people I work with already understand that health is not a perk or a benefit.

It’s a performance variable. A leadership responsibility. And a risk factor that needs managing deliberately.

Most organisations don’t fail in one dramatic moment.

They bleed performance slowly.

Through fatigue. Through attrition. Through poor decisions made under pressure. Through people operating beyond sustainable limits.

That’s not a wellbeing issue.

That’s an operational one.

If this reframing makes you pause, that’s usually a sign it matters.

Because by the time health becomes an obvious problem, the cost has already been paid.

If this resonates, let’s talk.

Chat soon, Ollie.
