After my 4 hour nap yesterday afternoon i decided i was tired so took myself to bed (actually i got sent to bed by Mrs O for whinging) at 7pm. Had a small doze and woke at midnight so decided to have a quick bite to eat then went back to bed and woke up around 8am. A good 13 hours in bed (plus the 4 in the afternoon, that’s 17 hours – not bad) – similar characteristics of a bear – sleep and eat!
Feel much better today although still not in a position to train. Got a message from Q telling me to rest up. Got to collect HR data tonight when i sleep (better wash my HR strap as it stinks) and download the data tomorrow morning.
Might sit and watch the Tour de France this afternoon – an outrageous days racing for them today, 2 super category climbs and a couple of 1 and 2 categories. Rather them than me!
Will see how i feel later and report back to HQ in the morning with HR data. Hope to be able to get a small session in tomorrow and Saturday then rest up Sunday ready for next weeks onslaught.
Feel more positive today and glad i got a few days off work. Don’t actually want to row today which is bizarre but will be fully agitated and ready to go by tomorrow guaranteed!
Cheers for the text JT, i think you hit the nail on the head – what you doing up at 3am anyway?!
