Taking each day is at comes and getting what I can ticked. Aiming to make each day the best it can possibly be and ensure planning is a priority.
- When am I training?
- Have I got all my food in place for the day?
- Is my kit ready?
- What time do I need to start to ensure I am finished in time?
- Am I stretching and rolling when not training?
- Am I listening to my body?
- Is there anything else I could be doing to aid recovery?
- Is there anything else I could do to reach my goals?
Monday was a light intro piece back in after the 3 day break not feeling well. That seems a distant memory now although Mondays piece was a bit of a slog. I kept the distance down to just over 10km and forced myself to stop although I wanted to thrash out another 10km.
Weights in the evening seemed unaffected as my strength was still there on some aggressive and pleasing squats and deads.
Yesterday was some nice distance in the morning at home before heading off on a works course in Yeovil. Tired and lethargic in the heat at the end of the presentation I headed to the sweltering gym to finish off the day with session number 2 taking my daily distance up to around the 37km mark.
A nice start to the week although today will be a non starter as I am away and will be travelling much of the day. Not concerned though as it is planned and have the rest of the week planned out well.
Tomorrow is a monster session in the morning and back in the weights room in the afternoon – edging towards 101kg body weight pretty comfortably now.
